What to do when Foleys cannot be deflated?

Put some more water into the bulb, so that it bursts,

Pass a spinal needle per urethra and burst the bulb

USG guided spinal needle insertion

Ether into foleys bulb( Less preferable since bulb get fragmented inside.

split the catheter vertically from down into two.

What precautions to be followed while keeping Foleys insitu for long time?

Use only distilled water to inflate and NOT NORMAL SALINE, since NS gets precipitated in the bulb and difficult to deflate.
