MgSO4 neuroprotection regime

 4 gms ( 8 ml+12 ml distilled water) over 20-30 minutes

Followed by 1 g/ hr for 24 hours ( prepared by adding 24 gms ( 48 ml or 24 amps) in 250 ml NS and giving 12.5 ml per hour)

Given over 24 hours is usually effective

No much gap to be given between completion of MgSO4 and delivery,  for better results.

1 hour gap for anasthetic reasons is enough.

Upto 32 weeks- defenite indication.. Post that ..?

Q1: MgSO4 regimen given, but preterm contractions subsided, Can we continue pregnancy?

Most in the forum feel pregnancy can be continued.
